My name is Rob Conery and I help developers of all sorts learn what’s new with technology. I have been working in the technology field full time since 1998 as a DBA and then a web developer. My original focus was the Microsoft ASP.NET stack, building tools like Subsonicand the first Micro-ORM: Massive. In addition I co-founded Tekpub.com (acquired byPluralsight) with James Avery and co-host This Developer’s Life with my friend, Scott Hanselman. I currently create videos for Pluralsight and build open source things as I can.

I've worked on a number of open source projects - some you may have heard of:

Massive: the very first "Micro-ORM" for .NET. I made this one weekend after I read a blog post about Entity Framework as a way to mitigate the despair I felt at the time.


Massive-JS: an experiment with data access. I wanted to see what I could do if I chucked the concept of "persistence ignorance" and went all-in with PostgreSQL. Based on the stars I have on Github (well over 1000), it seems to be rather popular.


Moebius: yet another data-access tool. This time for Elixir. I know databases and data access so it makes sense that I build one every now and again in a new language. I like this one a lot.
Subsonic: This one goes way back to 2005. I extracted this from some work I was doing and people liked it a lot. I liked it too - and I still get emails from people thanking me for making it.


Stripity-Stripe: A Stripe payment library for Elixir. I made this because the other ones were broken and I needed to ping Stripe. It's the go-to library for Elixir and Stripe at the moment.
PG-Auth: No one cares about this one - it's from a fit of madness I had one weekend where I decided to built a data access library with nothing but a set of functions in PostgreSQL.


Mark Seemann helps programmers make code easier to maintain. His professional interests include functional programming, object–oriented development, software architecture, as well as software development in general. Apart from writing books about Code That Fits in Your Head and Dependency Injection he has also created several Pluralsight courses, Clean Coders videos, and written numerous articles and blog posts about programming.

Originally poised to become a rock star or (failing that) graphic novelist (in the European tradition) he one day found himself with insufficient talent for either, a master’s degree in Economics, and a desire for working with computers. He has been doing the latter intermittently since 1995. When not working with software or spending time with his family, Mark enjoys reading, listening to and playing music, as well as preparing or consuming gourmet food and wine.

Originally educated in arts and design, Anders has spent the last twenty years writing code.

He has given numerous talks and keynotes at conferences such as JavaZone, NDC, J-Fall, Øredev and many more. Anders has given 100+ conference talks to a variety of audiences including media, design and hardcore computer science. He's known for energetic and highly engaging presentations.

Steve Gordon is a Pluralsight author, Microsoft MVP, senior engineer based in the UK. He works for Elastic maintaining their .NET client libraries. Steve is passionate about community and all things .NET related, having worked with ASP.NET for over 16 years. Steve enjoys sharing his knowledge through his blog, in videos and by presenting talks at user groups and conferences. Johnny Hooyberghs is a consultant for Involved since 2014 focusing on .NET architecture and backend development and a Microsoft MVP since 2020. He has been passionate about .NET ever since it was released and his areas of expertise are C#, .NET (Core), WCF, WinForms, WPF, ASP.NET (Core), Entity Framework (Core), Azure and ALM using the Microsoft Stack. Ash Banaszek is a passionate and outspoken UX advocate at Union Pacific Railroad with over a decade of experience in the field. Ash holds a masters of science in information science from Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, MO and returns to occasionally guest lecture in human factors and human-computer interaction courses.  Ash has a passion for teaching and getting folks to that "ah-hah" moment about UX. Adrienne Braganza Tacke is a Filipina software engineer, keynote speaker, published author of the book Coding for Kids: Python, and a LinkedIn Learning instructor who specializes in Cloud Development courses. Perhaps most important, however, is that she spends way too much money on desserts and ungodly amounts of time playing Age of Empires II.

Guy works for Redis as a Developer Advocate. Combining his decades of experience in writing software with a passion for sharing what he has learned, Guy goes out into developer communities and helps others build great software.

Teaching and community have long been a focus for Guy. He is President of the Columbus JavaScript Users Group, an organizer for the Columbus Machine Learners, and has even has helped teach programming at a prison in central Ohio.

In his personal life, Guy is a hard-boiled geek interested in role-playing games, science fiction, and technology. He also has a slightly less geeky interest in history and linguistics. Jenny is an independent trainer, facilitator and coach in collaborative software development techniques and team development,  specialising in leadership, accelerated Agile delivery and public speaking.

Jenny is active in the software development community as an expert in team collaboration and effectiveness and a regular speaker at events across Europe. Nick is a software engineer and Developer Technologies Microsoft MVP based in London. He is working as an Senior Engineering Manager at Checkout.com and he is creating educational content on YouTube about everything .NET and C#.

Håkan holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and in addition, he holds a Master’s degree in Leadership and Organizational behavior. He has also taken courses on university level in psychology, interaction design and human-computer interaction. He has 20 years’ experience of software development in various positions such as developer, tester, architect, project manager, scrum master, practice manager and team lead. 

Håkan is Chairman of the local chapter of the Norwegian .NET User Group Oslo (NNUG) and is active as an Ambassador for Oslo.AI the local chapter for the global City.AI community. In addition, he is the co-founder of AI42, an online school for learning about AI and Data Science.

Håkan is a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) in AI. 

Currently Håkan is working as Manager AI and Big Data at Miles AS, a Norwegian consultancy company.

Chris Klug is a developer badass-as-a-service that either creates or solves problems depending on who you ask. He loves creating and building things. Whether it be a new application, a new kitchen or a new RC helicopter, you will see him building things all the time. Most of the time, that means writing code and solving problems for clients at a company called Active Solution in Stockholm though. Except for the many days he spends at conferences and usergroups, talking about doing things he is passionate about, and for the days he goes mountain biking, IPSC shooting, kiteboarding or RC helicopter flying.
For the last 15-something years, he has been solving problems for customers, and loving it. But if he gets to choose, he'll go to the beach and kitesurf every day!

Glenn Colpaert is co-founder and CTO at Zure Belgium. He is a Microsoft Azure MVP since 2014 and is a frequent speaker at national and international events.

With over 10 years of experience gained in many national and international projects, he can adapt quickly to customer-specific situations and scenarios. 
Currently, he’s mainly focused on designing and building secure, scalable cloud-based solutions on Microsoft Azure. 

Glenn likes to share his experience with the community and is he's an active crew member of the Belgian Azure User Group (AZUG).

Niels Tanis has got a background in .NET development, pentesting and security consultancy. He also holds the CSSLP certification and has been involved in breaking, defending and building secure applications. He joined Veracode in 2015 and right now he works as a security researcher on a variant of languages and technologies related to Veracode’s Binary Static Analysis service. He is married, father of two and lives in a small village just outside Amersfoort, The Netherlands.

Gill Cleeren is the CTO of Xpirit Belgium, Microsoft Regional Director and MVP and Pluralsight author. Gill focuses on architecture, training and coaching and is a frequent speaker at many international conferences. Matt is a C# dev and Microsoft MVP who loves nothing more than digging into the internals of the CLR.

He’s worked on projects with Azure, ASP.NET MVC and WinForms, including as a web-site for storing government weather data, medical monitoring devices and an inspection system that ensured kegs of beer didn’t leak! He’s been an Open Source Contributor to BenchmarkDotNet and RavenDB.

Don Wibier has been programming for more years than he can count. At the age of 15, he built a ticketing and reservation system in Clipper for his father's cinema, for which he and his friend were compensated with a brand new 386 PC!

After studying electronics and IT, Don embarked on a career in development, working with some of the biggest companies in The Netherlands and developing multi-tier enterprise solutions. Seeing an exciting future with the internet, he started building Delphi-based ISAPI DLLs in combination with application servers and databases. Working with an internet startup, he architected one of the fastest online services for finding and booking airfares. Don then built one of the most user-friendly Content Management Systems available, which is even now powering hundreds of web and mobile implementations across the world.

Tess is a developer/data scientist working at Microsoft.  Over the past 20 years she has changed the way we do .net debugging, developed a large number of mobile apps. As of a couple of years ago she moved into the world of data science and machine learning working with a lot of the largest companies in Europe and beyond on really tough ML problems.

Dan Mallott is a Chicago-based consultant for West Monroe Partners in their Technology Practice. His passion is for distributed architecture, designing and building high performing service layers from the API down to the database.

Recent projects have included a new API and UI written in .NET CORE for a large international insurance broker that allows for insurance carriers to easily view upcoming renewing policies and developing a Kafka-based Customer 360-degree View solution for a mid-sized US health insurer.

Past speaking engagements have included NDC Sydney, Cream City Code, Chicago Code Camp, PASS Summit, and numerous SQL Saturdays throughout the US.

Alexander is a principal solutions architect at Attollo in Sweden. Nobody really knows what it means to be a principal solutions architect, but he spends his days teaching courses or helping clients of all shapes and sizes to take better care of their data. 
He has spent the last 24 years toying with data, databases and related infrastructure services such as storage, networking and virtualization, occasionally emerging from the technical darkness to attend a Star Wars convention somewhere in the world.

Adele is a software engineer at Trifork Amsterdam, where she is working on backend systems for the educational sector. Most of her work day is spent in the JVM/Spring ecosystems. Adele got the coding bug later in life but since then has been making up for lost time, going from command line noob to employed software engineer in just one year. Her experiences both in and out of tech have given her a unique perspective on the art of programming together with humans, which she hopes is useful to other humans who program with humans.

Nico Vermeir, is a Microsoft MVP in the field of Windows Development. He works as a .NET architect  at Inetum - Realdolmen in Belgium since 2010, where he has a focus on building and architecting modern applications.

Francesco comes from Verona, Italy and works as a Developer Advocate at Aiven. With his many years of experience as a data engineer, he has stories to tell and advice for data-wranglers everywhere. Jessica is a CEO, teacher and international speaker and has travelled the world sharing knowledge about her passions.

She is a Microsoft MVP and has been part of the developer community for many years, she organizes conferences like .NET Front End Day & Swetugg but also events, hackathons and runs multiple user groups.

Liam Westley is Head of Engineering at FreemarketFX, a fintech startup specializing in foreign currency trading, with a cloud native platform in Azure. He quite likes working near London Bridge as there is some fantastic food and coffee to be had within a few minutes walk.

Previous to FreemarketFX, Liam worked at Huddle just down the road in Aldgate helping the mobile and desktop teams create apps to play nicely with microservices.  At Criteria MX, a digital media startup he worked as a consultant via his own company Tiger Computer Services Ltd, specialising in software for Broadcast Television. His Niagara SMS moderation system was used by QVC UK for eight years to display SMS messages from viewers, live, on screen. Liam is also responsible for the ticketing system for Hat Trick Productions which provides e-tickets to shows such as Have I Got News For You and Room 101.

Liam has worked for chellomedia, GMTV, BSkyB, SmashedAtom and Original Thinking Group. In his time he created the first in house weather system for Sky News using Visual Basic 1.0, acted as architect for two general election systems, project managed the launch of the GMTV web site, was key to delivering the first interactive television chat service in the UK for BSkyB and helped launch the first live shopping channels in the Netherlands.

He has a passion for flying from an early age, although his earlier career was spent as an apprentice at the Ford Motor Company and then a Project Engineer covering Electrical/Software/Robot engineering in major automotive brands. However his drive, focus and determination was always to become a pilot. 
After self funding his pilots license and passing all necessary exams his first commercial flight was with Aer Arran (Irish regional airline), where he flew ATRs from Dublin and Galway to Ireland regions and into the UK. After this the jets got bigger, the cattle slightly less and eventually he applied and was selected to join a Major UK Airline. 
After initially flying the Airbus A320 Cliff has continued his personal development and now fly’s the fleet of 787’s across the world, including the recently arrived B787-900 with the new First Class. 
Although the current jets are technologically advanced its Cliff’s every decision and calculation on a minute-by- minute basis that carries over 215 people safely back and forth over the Atlantic or Siberia, therefore every decision is a critical one. He therefore has acute awareness of people’s decision-making processes and the consequences of these. 
Its these decisions that impact on people’s lives, from lost luggage to engine issues to landing in fog, every decision is critical and everyone has an impact on how the airline remain competitive minute by minute, if not second by second. When not flying the plastic jet he spends his time huddled over his laptop thrashing the keyboard and working on some project from embedded systems to .Net. 
Personal challenges are always part of Cliff’s spare time and as well as continuing to design computer software he is busy with family life of a Wife, 3 Boys and 2 dogs and is also a keen cyclist, with the Alps Passporte’s challenge as next year’s goal.
